Books for Autistic Kids

“Being Autistic (and what that actually means)”

Publication date: 18th July 2024

Reading age: 7+

Written and illustrated by autistic adults, this graphic guide is all about being autistic, and what that really means. The book explores everything from communication differences to sensory sensitivities, social interaction differences to emotional regulation, and how they impact our daily autistic lives. It explains how autistic people are all different to each other, yet there are many autistic traits that we share. The key message of this book is that it is absolutely okay (and sometimes it is even great!) to be autistic!!
